"The future is digital"

And it’s no secret that these formulations often became part of vague long-term strategies and marketing plans

“for the future that is digital”. It’s also no secret that digitalization in our country has been very slow until now. But the sudden coronavirus crisis has exposed the simple fact that the transition to the digital environment is no longer the future of business, it is a matter of its physical survival in the present.

Companies were forced to urgently switch to processes and technologies that they did not plan to implement now. And to do it very quickly. Speed in general has become a key success factor in the new environment: speed of transformation, speed of service, speed of response to changes, speed of decision-making and implementation, speed of learning. And business digitalization is the only driving force that allows us to develop this vital speed today.

“Become digital or disappear” – is the motto of today.

Here are just some of the benefits of digitalization, in which speed plays a a crucial role:

– saving time and increasing productivity as a result of automation of production and internal processes;

– optimization and acceleration of external and internal communications;

– a new level of customer service and encouraging them to purchase more goods/services (fast cross-selling/upselling opportunities)

– competitive opportunities as a result of the introduction of a new, better customer experience.

The second most important factor after speed is the depth of transformation. Those who have used digital channels ad hoc to survive in difficult times will be the next to disappear, after those who have not done so at all.

The pandemic has become a catalyst for irreversible changes, both economic and social. There will be no complete rollback, which means that digital transformation is forever, not just for a while. And that we need to quickly move from active experiments for survival to scaling and deepening digital changes.

The main directions of this scaling:

– a new culture of work of labor collectives. After experimenting with remote work, many work processes will be partially or fully transferred to a remote format, because with the right technology and management, it is beneficial to everyone;

– networking and digital business communications will become a real and faster alternative to face-to-face meetings and workshops;

– continuous professional development and training through rapidly developing educational platforms;

– control of failures and disruptions in the supply chain and production process is also going digital, thanks to the growing demand for automation and robotization of processes.

As a result, no modern business can be successful without an effective digital transformation strategy. The companies that will survive in the long run are those that have the best tools that allow them to be flexible and fast. Companies that will be able to respond to changes in consumer demands and regulate supply chains faster than others. And also those who will be able to deploy their workforce really anywhere.

Thank you for watching and for your vibes :)
